:: English Literature and Culture Visit To London & Stratford-Upon-Avon, England ::

We had this brief meeting about the visit to England on March 2009, at the Senior Reading Room at 10.00 am. We were given a letter for our parents to read.

Look, we were excited to hear this briefing and there's like lots of Form 4s and Form 5s students attended for the meeting. I couldn't care less though about the trip to United Kingdom. 'sides, going there costs for like $3000, well almost reaching to that number. It's expensive and I'm not THAT rich. The dates and duration of the trip will take about one week I think. I'm not good at counting stuffs or whatever, mind that! It says here:

Depart Brunei Darussalam:
Monday 16th March 2009 at 19:35 pm.
Arrive at London Heathrow International Airport:
Tuesday 17th March 2009 at 06:05 am.

Depart London Heathrow International Airport:
Friday 27th March 2009 at 09:05 am.
Arrive in Brunei Darussalam:
Saturday 28th March 2009 at 9:50 am.

Okay, okay. Don't hate me for not going just cause this is an opportunity for me to go there and see the outside world. Even I have to go, at the end of the trip we have to do some sort of assignment and to me handed in to the Teacher-in-charge. Oh! How I HATE assignments! I don't fancy to buying stuffs for people, well except for cheap souvenirs though.

Once we arrived at UK, we will be divided into groups and there will be a teacher-in-charge for one group. So the groups will be staying either at Brunei Hall or The Belmont Hotel, but the Head of English Department in STPRI didn't really fancy staying at the Brunei Hall. Okay, staying there is cheap and it includes breakfast as well. Though, the disadvantage is: lots of Brunei students went to learn in UK and so they stayed there. Even I don't want to fancy to stay there for the rest of the trip there. The reason is, it's quite obvious: it's TYPICAL for a Bruneian student to stay there for the trip in UK.

The itinerary's actually that, the students might come across during the visits is the English Literature syllabus and the things that would introduce and present them to English society, language, literature and culture. Here's some educational visits for us:

The Royal Shakespeare Theaters
Shakespeare Properties Centre
London Shakespeare Globe
The British Museum

Look look! There's a schedule here and I definitely WILL love some of the visits! I'm not going to type it all down. I'm just going to show you the places that I would love to visit:

I think those are the places that I want to visit. The ones in BOLD fonts. Oh I forgot to add one:

10:30 am   Tour of Stratford-upon-Avon including Anne Hathaway's house, Shakespeare birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon town.

There you go. The wonderful places but there's lots of them though and I'm too tired to type them all. Right, after this brief meeting, I didn't get to eat something during break time. So I told Trisher to ask permission from Mr. Jason to let us eat in class and since he's a nice (very) tall English-Canadian man, he let us eat in his class.

Oh! One thing's certain: I didn't pay any attention at all during my Computer Class. Hey! They're talking about this Windows XP or whatever crap and how am I suppose to know how to use it or understand what they're talking about since I USED MAC OS X instead of Windows (Tabuk)!
