:: Revising Time ::

Tomorrow will be IRK (Paper I); which is Fiqh and Sejarah. At least there's only two certain topics that I have to revise thus; I couldn't get them inside my head yet. Without stressing myself too much; I'm going to read the new novel Unfinished Tales and I'm going to help my parents to do some grocery shopping tonight. Woot!

If you're thinking that I'm not going to learn or revise anything tonight; you ARE absolutely RIGHT . . . I think. Okay; do not blame me for not settling my decisions right. I am not good with them decisions, okay? But I always ended up being cool anyways.

I got some few advices here though for those who are very weak in English and wanted some help to aim higher marks. If I were you though; I would really try to read lots of novels and magazines. In ENGLISH of course! No Malay or whatsoever. I know; getting to improve (or boost) your English will always be started off by some casual reading.

Even for those who's not really into reading; I would recommend you to watch some ENGLISH comedy movies at first. Try to learn and remember some of their hilarious pick-up lines. It usually helps! Oh, no swearing pick-up lines please. Now mind you; for us Bruneians; we usually use British-English not American-English. Now I ask you; do you actually know what's the difference between British-English and American-English? I hope you do. So which one is an British word: is it mad or angry?

Do you know the actual difference? If your answer is mad; you are wrong. It's supposed to be angry. So try to remember that if you can and try to differentiate between American and British use. How do I know? With the help of this of course! (See the picture below)

Yes, it's a dictionary. No, make that as DICTIONARIES. Dictionary is you guide to excellent English at times IF you know how to use the word correctly onto your sentence. I own FIVE English dictionaries; excluded the Japanese and Bahasa Melayu ones. A dictionary is your friend when you are struggling with hard new words which you don't usually them everyday. Note that: If you're having a hard time to understand some of the hard words in an english novel; it'll never hurt to look for them into one of your dictionaries, yes?

Don't try to boast that you are very good in English and you don't need a friggin' dictionary to translate them for you. Good riddance; do you know that your narcism actually kills? Probably no. You will know your own downfall if you keep on self-loving yourself. Now enough of that. If you really are now good with your English; try something new and harder just like what I did. Try, learn and use Old English for a change. Using old English can be fun and it might help for your composition writing.

Now; having good writing skills in English is brilliant but whatever happens when the way you say it sounds like; I don't know -- broken-ish or poklen-ish? You really don't want that do you? Well of course not. People might say that talking to yourself in the mirror or talking to yourself WITHOUT a mirror are practically insane or out of your mind. Think twice! Talking to yourself will gradually boost your speaking.

To be honest: I did that a lot! For people whose mind always filled with wonder or imaginations will find them useful really talking to yourself and all that. It is a good way to boost your speaking skills even though it makes you quite daft. No! Don't listen to what people called you. DON'T YOU EVER. They're just jealous.

Yes yes, I know the English (Paper I) is already over. There will always be next year, right? Now, I need to go to sleep but BEFORE that. I have to answer these questions.

Q: How do you study or prepare for your English exams?
A: I usually read novels a lot which I usually ended up reading them in 1 whole week and as well as memorizing some of the hard words -- it might come in handy.

Q: How do you get that British accent of yours? Did you make it up?
A: I didn't make it up! After some long years (seven years) talking to myself and talking to my dolls mostly in ENGLISH; I somehow get that kind accent surprisingly.

Q: What kind of magazines do you usually read?
A: I sometimes enjoy reading about bands and games magazines or even fashion but I usually enjoy reading Brunei's magazine called: BIG magazine (Brunei Insider's Guide).

Q: Why that?
A: Why? It's because I love their simple English. You might learn from them if you had the chance to buy them one.
