:: Dustfinger ::

I watched Inkheart the movie around midnight. Mind, I was struggling to finish the book just to watch the movie. I was quite disappointed when I watched it though -- it didn't start exactly as the book did. But all the same, the actors portrayed as the characters in the book is something extraordinary.

My favorite character is Dustfinger -- Not that he produce any dust from his fingers or anything of the sort. I love him from both the book and the movie because he's cute. He's a juggler and a fire-eater that makes him so loveable in both adaptions. When I watched the movie, the movie reveals a lot about him rather than in the book. I now know that Dustfinger has a family and he have a wife named Roxanne... If I remember that right.

But whatever it is, the movie spoils everything. Dustfinger didn't went back inside the book in the end of Inkheart. I know that Dustfinger eventually went back inside the book later in the next sequel in Inkspell with the help of this suspicious looking character. Nevertheless, the movie has its' positive and negative side, and I quite like the movie eventhough it spoils a bit much of the original book. In the end, I have found a new fantasy author and I adore her very much. Praise to Cornelia Funke once again! Gosh, I feel like ordering the rest of Inkheart's sequels right now. I need to know more about the story!

Oh yeah, since I've accidentally done this so many times over and over again with other books; I kind of read what happened to Dustfinger in Inkspell (not the sneak peek one in Inkheart) when I was browsing for more information about him. To my horror, Dustfinger died but then again, I read something about Meggie and Farid trying to bring him back. I don't know what's going to happen but it will be my job to order the book and read it to find the answers.
