:: Got Scratched ::
Urgh, it's about time to post something up on here. I tried to post something for the last couple of days but heck, I'm always tired OR I just have no clue what to talk about. Today is Friday, so I might as well get started what happened since the last time I've posted something.
This year, I think I am going to have lots of field trips but I don't mind. It will help me to open up my eyes and see the oblivious. So anyway, this upcoming Sunday (March 6th 2011), I'll be having a field trip to Tanjung Batu and Muara beach. This is only for Geography students to see the formation of the land and to actually how it actually looks like. We were given extra precautions again and again. We are going to climb up a hill and do a lot of walking in which I will surely need them. We were told to bring extra shirt, insect repellent, sun block, plastic bags and whatnot. Well... I've bought an insect repellent. The smell was quite strong though but mmkay.
I had a Sociology field trip last Tuesday (March 1st) to JAPEM and to Pusat Bahagia. This trip made me realize how lucky and grateful I am. I mostly enjoyed my trip to Pusat Bahagia though because I've always wanted to visit this place and there! God answered me eventually. The reason is because the chance to see a disable people in my own country touched me. All of them in that institute have my sympathy. It almost made me cry just by looking at them but I tried to steel myself. They're actually beautiful people eventhough the fact that they're mute, deaf, blind and etcetera.
Once we have roamed around the classrooms and seeing what kind of subjects they learn, I managed to learn a few of the sign language. It was my first time seeing a braille pattern and the braille typewriter too. After all these, we were ushered into the hall to see their performance. Their own band called the Unique Band was awesome. They're like professionals and they can improvise whatever the situations are. They sing well too and I'm majorly impressed by their performance. I cried and as well as a few students I saw. I was touched. Then, all the PTEK-ians (my college) get to party with the several students. We were raving.. no, not raving. Perhaps the word raving is too wild, we all DANCED. It was superb and all of us had fun.
When we went home, one of the students at Pusat Bahagia cried. She must have liked our company. Oh well, it's good to know that we were encouraged to help out in the institute. I would surely love to if I have a partner to go along with.
